Ogawa Washi

Tanabata Machine Milled Washi paper. 30 Sheets

£11.95

Tanabata machine milled Washi paper x 30 sheets.  Tanabata Washi is made using strips of origami paper, which is added to the paper making process to create this beautiful paper with colour pops.  This paper can be used for hand writing or in a printer equally as well.

The Japanese stationery paper is made by the Takano family who have been in the washi industry for centuries. They introduced machinery in 1961 to modernise and make Washi Japanese paper more accessible. The process of producing milled washi is the same as being made by hand. Though handmade washi is much higher quality, this paper creates a more superior product to standard paper. It has a smooth semi-translucent appearance and takes all types of writing and printer inks well. This paper is a great option, for those wanting a better quality stationery paper, without spending the money on handmade papers.
